About Lauren

I am a dedicated Materials Engineering student with a deep passion for math and the sciences. My academic background provides me with a rigorous understanding of the subjects I teach, but my real strength lies in my ability to simplify complex topics for high schoolers. I pride myself on being patient, professional, and reliable.
Beyond just the numbers, I aim to be a mentor who helps students develop the problem-solving skills necessary for high school and college-level work. Having successfully navigated these same high school courses recently, I understand the common hurdles students face and how to overcome them with clarity and confidence. I am committed to creating a focused yet encouraging environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and making progress.

I offer dedicated one-on-one tutoring designed to take the stress out of high school math and science. As a Materials Engineering student, I understand how these subjects connect, and I’m here to help you bridge the gap between "just doing the homework" and actually understanding the material.
My Approach:
• Targeted Math Support: Whether it’s Algebra, Geometry, or Trigonometry, we focus on the specific areas where you feel stuck.
• Simplified Science: I break down Physics and Chemistry into relatable, easy-to-grasp concepts.
• Confidence Building: One-on-one sessions mean we go at your pace. No question is too small, and we’ll practice until you feel ready for your next big test.
• Academic Mentorship: I can also provide guidance on study habits and how to approach technical writing, like lab reports, to ensure your hard work is reflected in your final grade.
My goal is to make these "tough" subjects your favorite ones by showing you the logic behind the numbers
