About Olivia
I will be starting my third year of a Modern Languages and Cultures degree at Durham University in September 2026, during which I will be studying for the academic year in Paris at Université Sorbonne IV before working in Spain during the summer. At school I achieved 10 9s, including French, Spanish, German and Latin at GCSE, and 3 A* in French, German and Spanish at A-level.
I am very passionate about languages and have always enjoyed learning new languages and perfecting those I know. This passion and enthusiasm is at the core of my teaching style and I hope to inspire the same love for language learning in my students.

Having achieved three A* in A-level French, Spanish and German before studying French and Spanish at University I am fully equipped to explain, teach and help students master the exam technique to get top marks. I can also help improve pronunciation and spontaneity as, having lived in France as a child, obtaining a native accent, I can improve a student’s fluency with speaking focused sessions. Regarding the oral component of the exam, at A-level I received 100% in both my French and Spanish speaking exam and so I feel particularly passionate about teaching the technique for this component. I am a friendly and patient tutor who creates an environment where a student feels comfortable to ask for more help or support in areas specific to their needs, which creates more personalised sessions. I tutor from those just starting French and Spanish to GCSE and A-level students.
