About Andrew

My GPA and GAMSAT weren't special, and I didn't have any bonuses. Two years ago, I interviewed at an MD program and was rejected. Last year, I interviewed and received offers to TWO MD programs, and accepted a non-bonded spot at one of the more competitive schools in Australia. What I learned in my interviewing experience also translated over to my Casper scores, having scored in the 4th (highest) quartile both times I sat it. I have spent the past couple years as a university tutor, and take pride in sharing my experience and watching my students succeed. Teaching is something I want to continue throughout my medical career, so helping others begin their medical career is something I am passionate about!

About the lesson

The MD interviews are your chance to show the schools what makes you, specifically, a great potential doctor. That's why my approach to interview prep is personalised and targeted. First we will go through your personal experience, then work together to form these into structured unique responses in timed practice interviews. Having sat 2 rounds of interviews for 3 different postgraduate MD programs, I have recent firsthand experience at what works and, just as importantly, what doesn't. Lessons will be ~1 hour long, so we have more than enough time to do practice interviews and go through detailed feedback.
