About Chedu
Hi, I’m Chedu Bakwena, a 19-year-old student at La Trobe University studying Business and Rehabilitation Counseling. I want to teach because I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts in a simple way and seeing their confidence grow over time. Having recently completed VCE myself, I understand the pressure students face, and I’m motivated to support them through it with patience and encouragement.
I offer English tutoring for Years 4–12 and Religion tutoring for Years 10–12, focusing on creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.

As a recent VCE graduate and current La Trobe University student, I understand the challenges students face because I have recently been through them myself. My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and personalised to each student’s learning needs. I focus on building confidence, improving understanding, and helping students achieve stronger academic results in a comfortable learning environment.
For English, I help students with essay writing, text analysis, grammar, reading comprehension, and SAC or exam preparation from Year 4 to Year 12. For Religion, I support Year 10–12 students with understanding key beliefs, ethical issues, essay writing, and VCE preparation.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and include clear explanations, practice questions, interactive learning techniques, and step-by-step guidance to ensure students fully understand the content rather than memorising it. My goal is to help students feel more confident, motivated, and capable in their studies while making learning less stressful and more enjoyable.
