About Leyla

I am currently a student at the University of Rochester studying brain and cognitive sciences. Math has always been my strong subject and I enjoy teaching others in a way that will help them excel in this subject. I feel like I have a great understanding of how to grasp a child's attention in a subject they are not fond of, which will allow them to reach their full potential in school.

My tutoring lessons are for children from the ages 5-12. I believe that teaching children in a fun and exciting way helps them stay focused on the lesson while learning and grasping new information. I will do my best to make sure the child enjoys each and every tutoring session and have the desire to learn more math. A typical lesson plan will be focused around what the child needs and the topics in math they are struggling with.
