About Tanaka

Playing football is all I had desired for as long as I can remember. Since the age of 4 I’ve always strived to be the best, always going by the quote “second place is first place's loser.” All the extra hours, gaining that extra 1% more on my peers led to a moment like that could be life changing. Getting scouted by West Ham, Norwich and Cambridge United when I was younger I finally settled down on a contract at Stevenage Academy being in the academy system since U10. After being offered a scholarship at the end of the U16 season, my dad had a very serious conversation with me. I’ve always been seen as someone that’s was a high achieving academically so he thought it would be best for me to continue on with school and get my A levels. From that day forth my life has revolved around school, leading to where I am today, an aspiring mathematician.

About the lesson

As a maths tutor, my approach would focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's individual needs. I would begin by assessing their current understanding and identifying any areas of difficulty. From there, I would develop personalised lesson plans that reinforce fundamental concepts while gradually introducing more complex topics. I believe in using a variety of teaching methods, including practical examples, visual aids, and interactive exercises, to make the material accessible and interesting. Regular practice and feedback would be integral to my sessions, ensuring students build confidence and improve their skills over time.
