When I was tutored by Elicia, she had begun our first session by figuring out what my strengths and weaknesses were in the subjects. We had discussed in detail what topics I was struggling with in school, how my exams will be assessed and looking at the learning objectives outlined by the exam boards. We also spent a session looking at revision techniques and methods that would help with note taking information learnt, and she also emailed over resources she had created for me to refer to. This was helpful because I now have resources that I can use in the future, and they have proven effective for me. I believe these methods used has helped me to retain information more effectively and correctly apply in examination settings.

Elicia is a patient tutor who enabled me to have time to think about answers. Despite only booking a one hour or two-hour slots the sessions were never rushed and was at a pace that was comfortable for myself. She had been extremely encouraging throughout the sessions and set various tasks to assess my knowledge. Some of the tasks she had set is questions and answers, mind maps, and flow charts. Her tutor sessions were always clear and ensured that I was able to meet the objective that she had set out. The next session I had with her she would begin by reviewing the previous lesson to ensure I still understood the concepts and key information taught.
