About Me
I am a passionate and professional Accounts lecturer with experience supporting students at GCSE, A-level, and further education level. I am dedicated to helping learners not only improve their grades but also develop a clear and confident understanding of accounting principles.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I understand that accounting can feel challenging, so I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.

Approach to Tutoring and Teaching
My approach to tutoring is student-centred, practical, and focused on building long-term confidence as well as academic success. As a lecturer in Accounts, I aim to make complex concepts accessible by breaking them down into manageable steps and relating them to real-world applications. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to suit individual needs, pace, and goals.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I use a combination of structured teaching and interactive learning techniques, including:
Clear explanation of concepts using simple language and worked examples
Scaffolded learning, where I gradually increase difficulty as confidence builds
Exam-focused practice, including past paper questions and exam techniques
Active learning, encouraging students to solve problems independently with guidance
Regular feedback to identify strengths and areas for improvement
Use of real-life scenarios to help students understand accounting principles in context
I also emphasise developing problem-solving skills, ensuring students understand the “why” behind each step rather than just memorising procedures.
Typical Lesson Length
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, which allows enough time to cover key material, practise questions, and review understanding. I can also offer longer sessions (90–120 minutes) where needed, especially for revision periods or exam preparation.
