About Lacy
Since I am currently an Education Major at MSU, I am actively learning new ways to teach and how to make my lessons more effective. I can also ask my professors for help anytime I may be struggling with a lesson.
I believe I can be a great tutor who can help students with their learning, while also improving their confidence. I want to build my students' confidence in themselves and in their learning because I know what it is like to struggle.

When it comes to my style of teaching, I like to form some kind of presentation to teach my lesson but also make sure to include multiple sources and examples. I also like to use outside examples or sources to help explain what I am teaching to make sure my students have enough resources to help with any misunderstanding or confusion.
My lesson plans are a bit complex on my end just to make sure I cover everything in the lesson to limit confusion. I don't always include everything in my lesson from my plan, but the complexity and level of details helps me incase my students need extra help.
Since I am currently a student working towards my teaching degree, tutoring will help me in my future career to become a better teacher. Plus being a student myself, I can connect to my students a bit easier which will help their learning progress.
I plan to focus my lessons on 8th grade English, but I can also work with high school English. While am mainly focusing on English, I am also pretty good at math and willing to tutor in that subject as well.
