About Harshitha
Hi there, I'm Harshitha, Master of medical biotechnology student at UQ. Academics has always been my field of interest, My inspiration is my mom who is also a teacher by profession. From my school level, I was passionate to learn about the concepts of biology. The terms like cells, genes, DNA, proteins, intrigued me a lot. It made me wonder as to how these microscopic molecules could perform vital activity in such a tightly controlled and co ordinated manner. Furthermore, to broaden my knowledge, I pursued my bachelor in biotechnology. The education I received during my bachelor study made me more confident. I have given numerous presentations, I have also completed internships and workshops to gain real world experience. In order to improve my research skills, I decided to purse Master of Medical Biotechnology at UQ. I would like to share my knowledge with other students and also to learn from them. I have a tutoring experience of 3 years, I used to conduct tutorials in my home for a group of students in their secondary and senior secondary level. I would like to get back into the teaching world and learn on the way. I can assure you that I would do it to the best of my abilities.

Hi there, I'm Harshitha, I have completed my Bachelor in Biotechnology and I am currently studying Master of MedicaI Biotechnology at UQ. I have three years of tutoring experience in the field of Biology and its disciplines. My teaching technique is personalized according the student's needs. With respect to the methodology, I assess the student's current knowledge first so that I can ensure that I teach the basic concepts before moving on to complex topics. Making sure that I provide clear explanation by using visual aids, diagrams and real world applications. I also encourage the students to ask me questions. Communicating with the student regularly to make sure that they are comfortable with my teaching methodology. I am looking for secondary level (Year6/7 to Year 10) and Senior Secondary (Year 11-12) students.
