About Joseph
I am a passionate and dedicated student of education, currently completing a Bachelor of Secondary Education/Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Religion at ACU. I have always enjoyed helping others understand new concepts and seeing the moment when things click.
I want to teach because I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. Teaching allows me to combine my love of learning with the opportunity to inspire confidence, critical thinking, and curiosity in young people. I enjoy creating lessons that are clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them build both skills and self-belief.

My tutoring approach focuses on building understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills rather than rote memorization. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, encourage students to verbalize their thinking, and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and goals.
I use a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and independent work. For Math, I emphasize conceptual understanding, step-by-step reasoning, and exam-style application. For English, I focus on essay structure, comprehension, and analytical thinking. Lessons are tailored and reinforced with weekly quizzes and practice exercises.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, starting with a review, moving to targeted teaching, and ending with practice or guided tasks.
I bring experience as a Catechist Teacher (Years 2 and 5), leadership roles in the Marist Student Leadership Team, and ongoing study in a Bachelor of Secondary Education/Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics and Religion) at ACU.
My lessons are for high school students (Years 7–12) seeking support or extension in Math or English, with tailored lessons designed to develop both skills and confidence.
