About James
I'm a college Senior pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity. I graduated with my Associate in Science degree in 2022 and earned high A's in all pre-calculus, cybersecurity, and IT courses. I earned my MOS Excel certification in the Fall 2023 semester after completing a 12-week business analytics course and am well-versed in essential Excel topics. I've always loved math, technology, and cybersecurity-related issues, which is why I want to assist to the best of my knowledge and ability.

I believe that today's math courses are comprehensive in their scope and proceed through essential lessons too fast. In doing so, instructors don't give students the time necessary to learn the basic mathematical principles needed to learn more advanced concepts as they take higher-level math courses. As a rising college Junior, I experienced this exact issue in every one of my lower-level math courses. I'm determined to ensure that other students can get the assistance they need to succeed! I work with all high school and college students on a case-by-case basis, developing a plan that allows them to gain a well-rounded understanding of the concepts they don't understand. I am skilled in all mathematical concepts up to pre-calculus algebra levels and am willing to meet online to explain concepts in depth. Through worksheets and problem sets, I help students strengthen their understanding of the basic mathematical properties at their own pace, slowly introducing new concepts while reinforcing past ideas.
I am also Excel-certified and can assist with most Excel-based questions in addition to preparing for the Excel certification exam. Earning an MOS Excel certificate is a great resume builder and knowing how to navigate and use Excel's basic tools is essential to passing the MOS Excel exam. Topics that can be reviewed include basic functions, tables, charts, PivotTable, and any other Excel-related questions.
