About Daisy
My name is Daisy, and I am a marine scientist working for the WWF, specialising in ocean restoration . I am hugely passionate about the worlds oceans and love to share this knowledge with my students.
Covering 3/4 of our world, it may not be surprising therefore that to learn about the oceans, you must also understand subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, maths, geogaphy and law. I have a Masters degree and Bachelors degree that cover all of these topics and I am available to teach all of these subjects, irrespective of the marine world (although I can't promise the odd turtle picture creeping into lessons ).

I am flexible and ready to adjust to the needs of each pupil but try to make lessons as enjoyable as possible. For those learning for a specific exam board, I aim to facilitate discussions and prompt a deeper understanding of the given topic.
I appreciate that tuition is in addition to school work so I prefer that my lesson time is a chance to learn interactively, using diagrams, videos, discussions or debates and games.
I conduct my lessons over Skype or Zoom.
Lessons will typically be an hour long, or half an hour for younger pupils.
I have several years of experience tutoring throughout my degrees. Subjects I have tutored in the past include:
- Marine science-related topics (marine biology, marine biogeochemistry, coastal restoration (coral, seagrass and mangrove), oceanography, marine law, marine resource, management. Across all age groups.
- Geography - up to A-Level.
- Sciences - Biology, chemistry, physics. Up to GCSE.
- Maths - up to high school.
