About Bethany

I have loved to dance ever since I was little doing various forms of dance since I was 3 years old (ballet, tap, modern) but when I got older around the teenage years to early adulthood I use to struggle in confidence due to comparison to others with my own abilities. To the point it use to make me want to give up on my passion. Until one day through my own personal Faith I realised I had a calling to use my gifts to help others. Through stepping out my comfort zone teaching 100’s of youth through the years I have seen young people who would never have had the confidence to dance, suddenly having fun and learning in a safe environment new skills. I’ve seen young people and children with mixed abilities work together to express their creativity. I love to teach not just dance for the sake of dance but incorporate pastoral values, a message, a theme for every choreography taught.

About the lesson

Dance Coach. Have been coaching for 4 years in schools. For beginners. I have choreographed for different events and had hands on experience since age 19 until now (28). Toured around the UK as well as across country doing dance workshops and performances of various styles. I have a passion to help people grow in confidence and express themselves in dance no matter previous experience.

Can do half an hour to 1 hour lessons.

You will learn the foundations of street dance learning a few moves per lesson to build into choreography and be able to create your own with what you’ve learnt. I like to make it fun and relational.

All ages.

In each dance workshop you will learn about dance technique’s such as rhythm and dynamics.

I teach facing my students getting them to mirror me, I break things down very slowly and we repeat a lot with and without music until students feel comfortable to move on to next thing.
