About Jaclyn
I'm a Brooklyn-based dancer who specializes in teaching K-Pop and Pop dance classes. My dance journey began as a child taking ballet and jazz. When I entered college, I joined a Bollywood a cappella group, where I learned Bollywood dancing. After graduating, I continued Bollywood dancing in New York City for several years.
In summer 2021, a friend introduced me to K-Pop, and I fell in love with the choreography. I took her first K-Pop dance classes in Los Angeles, taught by a former K-Pop trainee. Back in NYC, I expanded my dance interests to jazz funk and street jazz, which I still practice.
I'm the creator of A.Muse dance crew, and I perform in K-Pop and choreography shows across the city. I am the dance teacher for K-talk, a Korean language learning school in Long Island City.
I founded 581 Dance NYC in March 2023, with the goal of creating an enthusiastic and welcoming environment for people of all ability levels and ages. I can’t wait to dance with you!

With the right instruction, everyone can learn to dance! We start with discussing your goals for dancing, and then develop a plan for how to make progress.
A typical class includes warm-up and stretching, learning the dance, practicing the dance until it feels comfortable. We also review other aspects of dance, including stage presence and being camera-ready.
One-off lessons to learn specific choreography (a favorite BTS or Britney Spears dance), are also possible!
