About Steven
Getting to a point where your data tells a story rather than just showing numbers is the true objective of these sessions. Working through a financial model, it becomes clear that many people ignore the importance of design until they are already stuck. You will learn to build models that remain robust even when the source data changes significantly.
I focus on small business owners, finance beginners, and students who need a practical edge in their professional tools. We will spend time on specific functions, ensuring that you can replicate the workflows independently. Every session includes a hands-on mini project after we cover the mechanics to solidify your new techniques.
By the end of our time, you will possess a toolkit that makes complex spreadsheets feel intuitive. I prioritize clear, methodical steps so that you never feel overwhelmed by the interface. These sessions are designed to move you toward total spreadsheet confidence. I look forward to working through your files and helping you build a faster, smarter workflow.

Georgia Tech granted me a degree in MS Analytics, which serves as the bedrock for the 6 years of experience I have provided in the field. Watching a spreadsheet break under the weight of poor design is exactly why I shifted my focus toward clean, modular logic. After 13 years in analytics roles, I find that teaching others the correct way to structure a workbook is as rewarding as building the models myself. I focus on what-if analysis and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP to ensure you understand the engine under the hood.
Using SUMIFS and COUNTIFS allows us to aggregate complex datasets into meaningful insights without manual errors. I advocate for pivot charts and data validation to keep your models resilient against user input. Mastering date and time functions, alongside keyboard shortcuts, will reduce your fatigue during long modeling sessions.
Conditional formatting is my favorite way to highlight anomalies in a sea of cells. I am the right partner for your spreadsheet needs.
