About Daisy

Hi! My name is Daisy and I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I'm also a Data Scientist, but I miss teaching mathematics, so have returned to the tutoring space in my free time:) My goal is to make math a little less scary to learn and help students feel 100% confident in their mathematical abilities. When I'm not working or tutoring, I enjoy traveling, playing the guitar, hiking, and reading!

About the lesson

I like to tailor my lessons to the student's learning style, whether that be going through a quick lesson followed by practice problems, or Socratic method of learning, or a flipped classroom technique. Mathematics has always been my favorite subject! I strive to help others as much as I can to also feel great and confident about learning math. As a tutor, I have always been quick to find areas of weakness that students may exhibit in the lessons and curriculum. I will continuously target those areas until the student feels confident in their abilities to tackle those areas completely on their own.
