About Masroor
I am a PhD candidate in bioinformatics at the University of Toronto. Prior to my PhD studies, I had completed a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering. I have a diverse background in science and engineering which is combined with my natural enthusiasm for teaching.
I have more than 10 years of professional tutoring experience in both university and high-school levels. I am proficient in tutoring a diverse set of courses in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics. These courses include but are not limited to: Calculus I, II & III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics, Python and C++ programming, Physics I & II.
Throughout my tutoring career, I have developed special communication and teaching skills which enable me to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of students, to motivate them to work harder, and to enhance their problem-solving capabilities.

I love to share my thinking and problem-solving skills in a variety of subjects in Mathematics, Computer science, and Physics. I am so happy for the positive feedbacks from the students who I have helped over the past years, and this makes me passionate about tutoring!
My teaching methodology is highly interactive and it is based on three steps: (1) Understanding the fundamentals. (2) Applying the core concepts to address basic questions. (3) Integrating the principles to solve complex problems. I would conclude each session by emailing the work we did together, and I can provide you with complementary material if you are motivated to further study the lessons!
