About Sage
Hello! My name is Sage, and I am a freshman year college student at UC Davis with over two years of experience in private tutoring with clients of all different ages, skills, and needs. I scored a 4.0 GPA in high school with 5s on all of my AP exams, meaning I am incredibly familiar with the materials you need help learning. I have also worked as a sailing instructor for a small instructional program in my town and created a program for middle school students to advance into a higher math level over the summer. I am experienced, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. I am also kind, understanding, and supportive. I can't wait to get to know you!

I am a friendly, supportive teacher with a primarily visual teaching style. I break hard concepts down into easy-to-understand concepts and work to strengthen your knowledge and skills from the ground up.
A typical lesson plan may consist of an introductory explanation of the concepts you need help with (with examples!), time for answering questions, then guided problem-solving where I gradually offer less help on each question until you are able to complete them on your own.
I tutor primarily middle and high school math and science students, but also have limited experience tutoring in the humanities.
