About Alessio
My name is Alessio and I'm a gap year student with a real interest in tutoring and this whole sticky business of learning and information processing. I love the idea of having to adapt my style to yours - having to recalibrate myself to your preferred styles of learning, and just coming to understand what strategies work best for you. It's a process of course, and one that requires a fair bit of experimentation and patience - but I'd be more than happy to help guide you through it, and figure out what suits you best!

As a gap year student, I'm extremely flexible and relaxed when it comes to timing and slots - last-minute switch-arounds aren't a problem for me at all, and I'm more than happy to work around your schedule and commitments! I genuinely want to help my students grow in confidence with their subjects and excel. And that's not just on the level of their grades either, but also in their wider approach to learning. To take maths as a case in point, I don't intend to just feed ideas and teach in a way that is formulaic: I want to help cultivate a problem-solving toolkit that facilitates the process of learning itself. To help make it 'click'. As such, the lesson structure will be heavily personalised to my student's individual needs and weaknesses - but I really think active learning is key, engagement and involvement on the part of the students. And that means lots of practice questions!
