About Lauren
Hello, I’m Lauren. I'm a passionate and approachable tutor, dedicated to supporting young people's academic growth. My aim is to help students of any level, age and cultural background engage with the educational process; develop their talents, build their general knowledge and overcome confusions that prevent them from achieving their potential. My lessons work to build students' confidence as well as their academic capabilities, so that they enjoy and benefit from their education as much as possible. And build the intellectual skills needed for success in their short term and long term futures.
My passion for education has led to to study Philosophy at Durham University, mentor year 11 students; develop children's English language skills at schools, universities and privately in China, Japan and London: and in the more recent past, to complete my first non-fiction book. Which centers on developing International cross-cultural discourse, by teaching the reader about the current world through an examination of Modern history. The experience writing which has also allowed me to become a very proficient writing teacher.

I have experience tutoring students from KS1 to GCSE level History, English Literature, Science and Geography, as well as Philosophy and English as a second language. I am happy to teach students of any age or level; my lessons are carefully customized to suit student’s particular learning needs, and I work to keep them productive, stimulating, engaging and fun.
