About Louise

With 10 years of professional teaching experience, I am an enthusiastic Saxophone tutor who has guided nearly 150 students through their musical journey. I teach students of all ages and learning levels with patience and care.

My teaching style is supportive and understanding-based. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and encouraged. I take time to explain each technique clearly and make sure students understand before moving forward.

Lessons focus on breathing technique, tone quality, finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I also include listening exercises and basic theory to help students understand music deeply.

What makes my teaching unique is my ability to support students emotionally and musically. My aim is to help students enjoy learning, overcome challenges, and grow into confident saxophone players.

About the lesson

I teach saxophone using a methodology based on flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. I understand that each student learns differently, so I design lessons that align with their learning style, pace, and musical goals, making practice effective and enjoyable.

Flexibility allows me to adjust exercises, repertoire, and lesson plans according to student progress, interests, and motivation. Collaboration encourages students to participate actively in their learning, experiment with improvisation, and contribute ideas, fostering both creativity and confidence.

I create a positive, supportive environment where students feel motivated to practise, take risks, and grow musically. Lessons include saxophone technique, improvisation, performance skills, musical expression, and theory, providing a holistic musical education.

In addition to saxophone, I teach related subjects such as ensemble performance, sight-reading, ear training, and music theory. My goal is to develop expressive, confident musicians who enjoy learning and performing music.
