About Kyra

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and have 7 years of experience teaching piano to children, teenagers, and adults. My academic background emphasized both performance training and effective teaching strategies. During my studies, I learned how to design lesson plans that are structured yet flexible enough to meet different learning styles. Throughout my teaching career, I have helped students prepare for school concerts, examinations, and personal musical goals.

About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on building strong technical foundations while encouraging musical creativity. We begin with correct seating posture, relaxed wrist movement, and balanced finger positioning. I guide students through simple exercises that improve finger independence and coordination. Note reading is introduced carefully so learners recognize patterns instead of relying on memorization alone. Rhythm training includes clapping exercises and metronome practice to develop steady timing. Each lesson starts with structured warm-ups that prepare the hands and sharpen concentration before moving into repertoire practice.

As students improve, we work on scale fluency, chord progressions, and hand coordination exercises. I explain music theory concepts in simple language so students understand what they are playing. Dynamics and articulation are introduced gradually to improve expression and tone control. For learners preparing for performances, we rehearse complete pieces under timed conditions to simulate real situations. I also teach effective practice techniques so students can improve consistently at home between lessons.

My goal is to create well-rounded pianists who feel confident in both technique and musical interpretation. I encourage steady progress through clear goal setting and regular review of achievements. I provide constructive feedback that focuses on solutions rather than mistakes. Over time, students develop discipline, expressive ability, and strong self-confidence. I want every learner to experience the joy of performing music with clarity, control, and pride in their accomplishments.
