About Tobias
With over 8 years of experience teaching saxophone to college students, I focus on building both skill and confidence. My teaching style is calm, flexible, and student-friendly. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging and connected to real music.
I train students in tone control, breath support, finger movement, rhythm practice, and performance skills. Improvisation is included to help students develop creativity and musical freedom. I use real-life music examples so students can clearly understand practical application.
To support learning, I use modern tools like recording feedback, play-along tracks, and personalised practice plans. Music theory, ear training, and sight-reading are also part of my lessons to build a strong musical foundation.
My aim is to help students enjoy learning saxophone while developing confidence and consistency in their playing.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is designed to support long-term musical success through creativity, guidance, and responsibility. I focus on building a strong foundation by teaching correct breathing techniques, embouchure control, posture, finger technique, tone development, and rhythm accuracy.
Creativity is encouraged by allowing students to explore musical ideas, learn popular songs, and practise improvisation in a guided way. As a mentor, I provide motivation, honest feedback, and emotional support to help students stay confident and committed.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to understand musical patterns, rhythm structures, and scale relationships. Accountability is maintained through clear practice goals, regular feedback, and progress tracking.
Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach supporting subjects such as Music Theory, Ear Training, Rhythm Practice, and Performance Basics to help students become confident and independent musicians.
