About Katherine

I hold a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (with distinction) and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and English Literature, along with registration with the South African Council of Educators, ensuring a strong academic foundation.

I established a personalised tutoring study centre in 2014,
demonstrating the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, particularly for students balancing sports and arts commitments.

Chemistry is my favourite subject to teach and I have dedicated myself to the continuous learning of a variety of international curricula over the last 12 years.

About the lesson

A profound passion for nature and a keen interest in scientific innovation drive my commitment to fostering student achievement and engagement.

Lessons are delivered in English and are one hour in length, focusing on a combination of explaining key content, testing student retention and knowledge and practising past papers closer to test and exam time.

I prefer a collaborative approach and, via screen sharing (usually on Zoom), I will share images, diagrams and notes to support the lesson.
