About Eden

Hello! I am a singing teacher with over 4 years of experience helping more than 200 students of all ages and levels develop their voices and their confidence as singers. I have a background in classical vocal performance and have extensive experience in musical theater, jazz, and pop vocal coaching, and I bring all of this experience into my teaching — giving students both technical rigor and genuine musical breadth. My teaching covers the full range of vocal development: breath support, posture, resonance, registration, range, articulation, phrasing, style, and performance. I work with students preparing for grade examinations, auditions, competitions, and performances, as well as students who are developing their voice purely for personal satisfaction. I am known for my patience, my positivity, and my ability to communicate technical ideas in ways that make immediate sense to students and translate directly into improved singing. My proudest moments as a teacher come when students who had resigned themselves to being average or poor singers discover, through our work together, that they are capable of something genuinely beautiful. That discovery — that the voice they have been living with all their life has depths they never knew — is one of the most moving things I have the privilege of witnessing regularly in my work.

About the lesson

Singing is the one musical instrument that every human being is born with, and the one that most people believe they are not qualified to play. Part of what I do in every first lesson with a new student is begin to dismantle that belief — not through false reassurance, but through the genuine experience of producing a better sound than the student believed they were capable of. That experience, repeated and built upon over a series of lessons, is what transforms a reluctant singer into a confident one. I teach vocal technique comprehensively: breath support and management, posture and physical freedom, resonance and placement, registration and passaggio navigation, range extension, articulation, and phrasing. I teach all of this through real repertoire rather than through exercises in isolation, so that technical work always has an immediate musical purpose and students can hear the effect of each adjustment on their actual sound. I am experienced across classical, musical theater, jazz, and contemporary popular styles, and I tailor my teaching to the specific stylistic demands of each genre while maintaining the common technical foundations that serve all styles. I prepare students for grade examinations and for auditions, and I also work with students who have no formal performance goals but who want to develop their voice for personal satisfaction, choir singing, or simply the joy of singing well.
