About Lily
I am a rising junior at DePaul University in Lincoln Park. I am from Austin, Texas, which has a vibrant Latinx community. I've been a babysitter and nanny since I was ten. Additionally, I worked at the YMCA Child Watch for 4 years. There, I oversaw activities with large groups of kids, from 6 weeks to 12 years old. I have four years of mentorship experience with middle-high schoolers, so I am extremely confident in my communication skills with all ages. Lastly, I am currently in a position of a student teacher at my college, which will further solidify my teaching abilities.

As someone who has taken Spanish class for 14 years- I am currently 20- I know exactly what works and what doesn't. I believe that conversations, listening and speaking, are the most successful ways to master a non-native language. Other effective methods are reading, listening, and watching Spanish centered media, with or without English subtitles. Lastly, grammar and spelling practice will prevent misunderstandings when having conversations.
