About Evan
One of the most rewarding experiences as a teacher is seeing students enjoy playing music with confidence. During my 10 years of teaching experience, I have guided children and adult learners through lessons that are supportive, practical, and suited to their individual learning needs.
I encourage students to understand the purpose behind every technique before moving to the next one. This helps them improve bow control, finger placement, rhythm, intonation, tone quality, and musical expression while building confidence through regular practice.
Every learning journey is different, so I adapt my lessons to match each student's goals and pace. Whether learning for performances, examinations, or personal enjoyment, I provide encouragement, useful feedback, and continuous support throughout the process.

From the first violin lesson, students are encouraged to build strong habits that make learning easier over time. Classes include demonstrations, guided practice, and musical exercises that improve confidence while helping students understand the instrument in a simple and enjoyable way.
Lessons cover posture, bow hold, finger placement, bowing techniques, intonation, shifting, vibrato, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, tone production, music theory, and performance skills. Students strengthen these abilities through carefully selected exercises, musical pieces, and practical learning activities.
Regular progress discussions, detailed feedback, and home practice guidance help students continue improving between lessons. Whether preparing for concerts, examinations, auditions, or learning for personal enjoyment, every class supports steady growth while making violin learning rewarding and enjoyable.
