What first got my attention about Joannis, besides her teaching skills and preparation, was her compassion. Teaching is different for every child; some children, like my Lala, can test the patience of anyone (you'll just have to trust me on this, lol).

But Joannis has the patience of a saint. She developed a bulletproof learning plan within 2 weeks of seeing Lala and worked it to perfection. Before Lala started seeing Joannis, Lala's only experience with teachers was from a specialized school for ASD kids and truthfully, the school seemed to only address Lala's behavior.

Now, thanks to Joannis, over just one summer's worth of tutoring (at only one visit a week at that!) Lala can read at grade level. She's the best reader in her entire class and that means a lot to me and my family. I am sure if you're reading this review, you might be in similar waters as I found myself in. Parenting is not easy and it doesn't come with an instruction manual.

We're very often left to learn as we go. If your child needs help, I'm positive Joannis can help. I'm sure she is your child's best chance at success. If you're reading this, please feel more at ease. Your child's future is priceless and if you're going to invest in someone educating your kids, shouldn't it be someone who truly cares and will FIGHT for your child's future alongside with you?

I don't usually do these reviews. So perhaps I'm going a little overly-long, but this is an important decision you're making. Make sure it's your best decision and you choose the best; Joannis is the best. Of that, I'm sure of as she performed a miracle for my child and I know she will do the same for yours.

Mrs. Martin has been with my family since my son was in 3rd grade. I recommend her as a loyal and trustworthy tutor for your child. She helped my son a lot, and my son has improved because of her. I am so thankful for her taking her time and having patience with my son. My son is in the 7th grade, and she is still tutoring him. Please, she won't let your kid down and even helps when a child has testing. Thank you, Mrs. Martin, for everything you do for us. She is like family to us.

Joannis cares about her students and instills in them a sense of worth & knowledge that helps them prosper in any academic setting. Her students look to her for insight when they hit a hurdle and vastly improve their skills as she navigates them through her English lessons.

Joannis listens, is intentional, and compassionate as well. It is hard to find teachers that are both smart, effective teachers AND compassionate listeners. She has the skill sets and the gift of patience for those she teaches, and who need a little extra time.
