About Faiza

Hi! I’m a self-taught digital artist with around 8 years of experience creating character art, illustrations and digital paintings.

I mainly work in Procreate and particularly enjoy character design, expressive poses, colour, lighting and creating atmospheric illustrations. Over the years I’ve developed my skills independently, so I understand how confusing learning art can feel when you’re trying to work out anatomy, perspective, rendering or digital tools by yourself.

My aim as a tutor is to make those things easier to understand. I like breaking techniques down into practical steps and explaining why something works rather than simply asking you to copy what I do.

I’m happy to work with complete beginners as well as developing artists who already draw but feel stuck or want feedback on their work. Lessons can focus on areas such as character drawing, anatomy, poses, colour, lighting, digital painting, backgrounds, composition or using Procreate effectively.

Most importantly, I don’t want to teach students to draw exactly like me. I want to help you build the skills and confidence to create the kind of artwork you want to make.

About the lesson

Learn drawing, digital painting, and illustration in a way that develops your own style rather than simply copying mine.

I’m a digital artist with around 8 years of experience creating character illustrations, environments, and stylised artwork. I primarily work digitally using Procreate, but the fundamentals I teach apply across both traditional and digital art.
Lessons can be adapted to your current ability and what you actually want to improve. We can work on drawing fundamentals, anatomy, faces, poses, perspective, colour theory, lighting, composition, character design, backgrounds and environments, digital painting, rendering, and developing your own art style.

For beginners, I can help you build strong foundations step by step without overwhelming you with technical terminology. For more experienced artists, we can focus on specific weaknesses, improving finished pieces, portfolio development or taking an illustration from initial sketch through to a polished final artwork.

My approach is practical and project-based. Rather than spending an entire lesson watching me draw, I explain the reasoning behind techniques, demonstrate them where useful, and then help you apply them to your own artwork. I also give constructive feedback and explain what to change, why it will improve the piece, and how to practise it independently.

Faiza is a university classmate of mine. We’ve worked on multiple projects together. She is a very clear communicator and a natural teacher. Throughout our work together, she was organized and efficient. She taught me university work I was struggling with for some time. Her teaching style is very interactive, easy to understand, and succinct. I highly recommend Faiza; she is one of the best tutors I’ve met!
