About Jake
My name's Jake Dawson - I have played basketball in NSW at a representative level for 8 years, ran 2 marathons, 1 ultra marathon, 20+ obstacle races and after recently moving to the Gold Coast, pursuing a career in both nutrition and basketball. I have previously worked with family and friends to help with their nutritional goals, and as of December 2025, finished a Diploma of Nutrition to set myself up with higher level education and qualification on the matter. While fitness and sports are a massive part of me - I am passionate about everyone's health goals!

No one person is the same - and no one meal plan is either! I tailor the approach for YOU - and you won't find stock standard and general advice and diet planning from me!
In our meetings I will discuss with you your goals, what has and hasn't worked in the past, your schedule (life and training), likes and dislikes, and advice towards achieving YOUR goal.
Whether your goals are, whether as simple as losing weight, becoming healthier - or performance oriented such as preparation for a sporting season, peak performance, race prep, etc. - I can assure you with my help we will develop a sustainable and achievable plan to help reach your goals, and transfer it to a sustainable diet for life.
To begin with meetings are weekly, to help tinker with the plan, hold you accountable and be on hand to help ensure we build something sustainable. My end goal for a client is to get to a point of monthly+ check-ins as you have clear direction and self-discipline to follow your diet yourself!

I've known Jake for a long time and over the past 12 months have worked with him at fixing my diet. He was extremely understanding to my past difficulties and lifestyle habits. He didn't feed me any BS diet hacks or tell me it was going to be easy - he first started with small changes and substitutes, and we eased into restricting my calories. When I first started, I was 103kg and a heavy drinker, I'm now 90kg a year later, drink once a week, and have confidence to make the correct choices for my diet.

First meeting FREE: we will discuss you so I can build a profile for you to best create a plan that suits YOU!
Following meetings: $32 - these are 45-60 minute allotted time slots to discuss your schedule, diet plan, check-ins and updates, advice and accountability to best guide you on your journey. To begin this these are scheduled for at least once a week (for those looking towards an event/race/performance I may recommend 2+ times a week) as we both find what works best for you and adjust. Once we are both comfortable with how you're going, these can be scheduled further apart as best fits you!
