About Raquel
I have always been passionate about learning. I completed my undergraduate studies in an American university (Brigham Young University-Hawaii) where I developed a love for English and literature. I also double majored in Music. I completed my Masters degree in Education in the Philippines and my doctorate degree in Australia. All these degrees were completed through scholarships.
I have taught for almost 20 years in the Philippines and I am doing a Masters of Teaching degree at the moment at University of Adelaide in order to get my teaching license in Australia.
While studying, I have my own music studio that offers piano, guitar and voice lessons and I have now started to expand my business to include private lessons/tutorials in English related subjects.

I believe in student centered pedagogy. I try to understand how a student learns best and look for ways to help students achieve their learning goals. I have almost 20 years of teaching experience.
I am able to teacher English, literature and ESL related subjects to students across age levels. In addition, I can help you with academic writing tasks.
