About Michele

Hello, my name is Michele, and I am a French horn player from Los Angeles, California. In 2023, I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Horn Performance from California State University, Northridge, where I studied under Dr. Annie Bosler and Dylan Hart, both of whom are experienced recording studio musicians and educators. I completed my Master of Music degree in Horn Performance at Mannes School of Music, where I have had the privilege of studying with David Jolley, a former member of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and an accomplished touring soloist and chamber artist. Recently, I recorded an album of eclectic film music titled "The Hollywood Collection" with the Los Angeles Film Conducting Institute's Studio Intensive Orchestra. I have collaborated with Tito Puente Jr., Serj Tankian, and the Martha Graham Dance Company. My performance experience includes notable venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. Studios, and the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Performing Arts Center, among others. I have also had the opportunity to tour in Oahu, Hawaii; Seattle, Washington; and the New York City metropolitan area. Before I began playing the horn, I started my musical journey on the trumpet during my school years. In high school, I was a member of the jazz "A" band, and we consistently placed first at festival competitions, winning numerous sweepstakes titles.

About the lesson

I am very passionate about creating positive music education experiences and ensuring accessibility for all students. In my lessons, I tailor my approach to meet each student's unique learning needs, regardless of their current level.

My musical journey includes a diverse background in orchestral, commercial, and jazz horn playing, as well as orchestral and jazz trumpet. My teaching approach emphasizes building a strong foundation of fundamentals and applying them to various musical styles.
