About Victor
During my career, I have taught middle school, high school, and college English classes. I currently teach essay writing, literature, and technical (business writing) classes at the college level. I enjoy teaching and working with students to improve their work. I assign first drafts, mark them, and allow students to submit an improved final draft. I like helping students become better writers and to be prepared to take on new academic challenges.
Outside of the classroom, I have been a writer and editor for the last 18 years. In this capacity I have worked with writers from all over the world and enjoyed learning about different people and cultures.

I believe in a student centered lesson, so that we can look at a paper that has been assigned to you. If you are currently reading a poem or fiction and want to discuss it, we can do that or talk about how you can handle an assignment associated with that piece of writing.
In dealing with resumes, I would be happy to look at your current resume and offer tips about how to improve it or give you ideas how to write a new one. I would also be happy to help you with a cover letter you want to send with it.
As for creative writing, I will look at work you have written or I will give you assignments/prompts to help generate your writing.
I am a certified English teacher for grades 7-12 and have also taught at the college level for 12 years. I am also a published writer and working editor, so I have real world and academic experience. I am willing to work with students from grades 7 up.
