About Rita

I am a huge enthusiast for the Performing Arts and I believe that acting is a skill anyone can acquire as long as they are passionate about it!

I started performing in a circus company at 11 and was part of their performance team for seven years. At 14, I started studying at the best theatre school in Portugal, where I received my classical training. I started university at 17, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts and learnt to devise performances.

During my university years, I had the opportunity to help my classmates with their acting goals, and I realized how much I enjoyed teaching the subject. My training gave me the chance to dabble in a lot of different styles and techniques, so it's quite easy for me to adapt to different people. I also have an interest in the cultural and historical context of Art, so I can bring a more theoretical side to the lessons if requested.

About the lesson

My lessons are directed to anyone looking to learn or improve their performance and acting skills!

My training goes from Classical Theatre to devising performances and my lessons are based on the skill set I have learned from it. The foundation of my lessons is Stanislavkis's Method and Laban's movement studies but as we progress I will adapt to the student's needs and goals.
