About Dahlia

I am a violin teacher with more than 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory (Violin Specialisation). I work primarily with adult beginners and returning learners who want to explore the violin outside of traditional boundaries. My teaching emphasises improvisation and creative freedom. About the lesson

We start with rhythm reading, then expand into ledger lines and quick recognition of accidentals. Exercises train students to translate notes to finger placement instantly. This builds the ability to play new music without hesitation. Multi-part scores are introduced to strengthen ensemble awareness. I also emphasise rhythm precision, helping students feel comfortable in complex patterns. Musical Theatre Enthusiasts benefit from this by becoming quick learners in rehearsals. Worship Singers gain confidence in reading layered harmonies on the spot. Lessons include real repertoire to make skills relevant and rewarding. I adapt pacing to match individual learning styles.
