About Paul
- What experience do you have?
I have been playing drums since the age of 10.
As a teenager, I became only the 2nd drummer to obtain a place on the junior jazz course at the Royal Academy of Music, and after finishing school I studied the Bmus (Hons) Jazz degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Since leaving GSMD in 2009 I've worked with artists including;
Anthony Strong, Bellatrix, Charlie Laffer, Dizraeli, Frances Ruffelle, Joss Stone, Michael Kiwanuka, Matt Cardle, Mel Giedroyc, Milton Jones, Nao, Patti Lupone, Peter Straker, Richard O’Brian, Roger Lloyd Pack, Rogue Symphony, Rosalie Craig, Shazia Mirza, Will Young, Zizi Strallen
As well as performing on West End and Touring Shows such as;
Book Of Mormon, Company, Fun Home, Lion King, Little Shop Of Horrors, Moby Dick, Strictly, Ballroom, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Witches Of Eastwick

I am a freelance drummer and percussionist teaching from my studio in Manor House.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Drum Kit and Percussion
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied at the Royal Academy of Music and The Guildhall School Of Music.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40/hr for private students. However the first lesson can be offered at a discounted rate of £20/hr. I also offer half hour lessons.
- Where do you teach?
***CURRENTLY ALL LESSONS ARE VIA ZOOM DUE TO COVID-19***
I prefer to teach from my studio in Manor House, London, where I have all my teaching resources, and the ability to record the student playing. However I can consider teaching students at their own homes dependant on individual circumstance.

All levels and ages from beginners through to pros!
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare students for any and all the graded exams if this is something the student would like to do. I can also help prepare for auditions to music school/ college.
