About George

Hello,

I graduated with a degree in Spanish and French from Durham University in 2015 and since then have been working in a multi-lingual sales role for a leading construction machinery manufacturer. Over the course of my career, I have lived and worked in Paris, Madrid and Santiago (Chile) for 6 months of more.

My teaching experience began as volunteer work during my A-levels, when I was a TEFL assistant at a local community college. After gaining some experience, I then qualified with my CELTA from Cambridge University. I then taught part time, including two summers working full time as an English teacher and activities leader at an 8 week summer school with Severnvale Academy in Shrewsbury.

Whilst at university I worked pro-bono as a French tutor for A-level students with extra support needs. Since then, I have tutored Spanish and French in my spare time via online video chat and in person.

My teaching style is relaxed and informal. I like to tailor my lessons to my clients' needs; be that practising for an exam, preparing for a job interview or simply a desire to improve fluency. I have experience teaching school/college syllabuses and also vocational language.
