About Emmeline
Hi, I'm Emmeline! I recently graduated from the University of Durham in English Literature. As I have experienced the processes of exams, applications, and university academics, I have a lot to contribute to students and can advise on a variety of academic-related matters. In 2017, I volunteered at the Strathmore School in Richmond, so I also have experience interacting with and helping children with learning difficulties. I am eager not only to prepare students for exams, but also to help them gain confidence in their academic abilities, and I believe that my tutoring caters for both.

Firstly, I consult the subject syllabus for each board to ensure that the student understands the foundations of the exam. This provides a base level of knowledge for the student, and covers the simple requirements of the subject. Then, I prepare additional sections of the lesson to help the student stand out amongst their cohort. I measure progress through weekly tasks that must be completed by the next session, during which I check the difficulty level of the task for the student. My tutoring is thus consistently adjusted according to the needs of the student: this is something I prioritise to ensure that the student feels prepared for their exams, and assured in their work.
