About Olivia
My name is Livvy and I'm a History and Languages Student at Durham University, with a love for English literature! I've always been lucky to be in an environment where loving learning has been encouraged and I truly believe it is that attitude above all else that has got me to where I am today.
As a child and young adult, I initially struggled at school with finding my style of learning where education "clicked" though I still loved to learn. By the time I was a teenager, I had "learned how to learn" and gained 6 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s in GCSE's and 3A* in A-level (English Lit, History, Classics), gaining entry to Durham University.
I hope that as a tutor I can support students through the stress and challenges of school by making learning enjoyable, tailored to their needs, and focused on their goals for academic achievement. I hope I can support students at all levels to achieve their true potential, recognising their capabilities.

I'm offering tutoring in History and English Literature for levels up to and including A Level, and English Language Up to GCSE Level and hope I can not only help students reach their full potential in a traditional academic context, but also support them in their journey to love learning and their subject.
I offer tutoring that is flexible and adaptable and I am comfortable offering lessons teaching full subject curriculums chronologically as well as lessons focused on additional support and exam preparation.
I believe that I should adapt my style to my students and I am happy to offer classes varying in length from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on your needs. My experiences tutoring online in the past have shown me that this flexibility is what brings my students success, with most of my time tutoring so far focused on GCSE level English Literature and Language.
