About Beth
The reason I became a teacher is that I believe that every student can learn and has the right to learn . I wanted to help make that learning happen by creating a learning environment that was inclusive, centred around the students, offered both enough support and challenges to keep learning moving forward, and showed my students that they can be successful and have fun learning. I have been teaching and tutoring using methods and a style of teaching that reflects and supports these goals for 34 years.

-Teaching methods used are based on the Science of Reading to help students make strong "Reading Pathways" in their brains.
-Individualized and responsive reading lessons are developed for each student to maximize the learning potential.
-Each lesson includes phonemic awareness and phonics , letter/word work, reading and writing practice.
-The lessons are beneficial for students just beginning to learn to read as well as those who are reading but have plateaued at a certain stage or level or who are having a lot of difficulty learning to read and write.
-Experience working with a variety of learning needs: students who are neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD), and Reading/Language Disabilities.
