I believe in a student-centered approach that emphasizes understanding over rote memorization. I break down complex concepts into digestible pieces and use real-world examples to make abstract topics relatable.
A typical lesson plan starts with a brief review of the previous session to address any lingering questions, followed by an introduction to the new topic. I break down the concept into simple, manageable steps, using examples and visuals to aid comprehension. Next, we work through guided practice problems, gradually increasing in difficulty to build confidence and problem-solving skills. Throughout the lesson, I encourage active participation and ensure the student grasps each step before moving forward. We conclude with a summary of key points and a short review to reinforce learning, along with optional practice problems for further reinforcement.
My ability to tailor lessons to each student's needs is key to my tutoring success. I take the time to understand where each student is struggling and adjust my approach to ensure they fully comprehend the material. I also bring patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed in math.
I teach middle school, high school, and early college-level mathematics, including topics like Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra.
