About Isha

I've always been an academic and motivated person. I have learnt so many tips and tricks over the past 7 years of secondary education, skills that older, maybe more qualified tutors may not have. Having very recently been through the whole process, I strongly belief I can pass on what it genuinely takes to do well in your early academic career, whilst also provide some insight into future prospects such as university, apprenticeships and others.
I love to research and learn weird and wonderful things on politics, philosophy, history ( guess I am a bit of a nerd!). But I also love to play badminton, go to the gym, socialise over a good cup of coffee and read.
My tutoring style is relaxed, all I want is to help you fall in love with your academic progression through whatever method that may be!

About the lesson

I would want to approach teaching in a way that is realistic for my student but also enables them to adopt a growth mindset.
By following course materials and textbooks as well as my own personal hacks to learn, study and succeed. Focusing on the process of learning rather than the end result is the most important thing in my books. To do this I like to help my students understand the type of learner they are, their thought processes, habits and mindsets. Doing this enables me to teach in a more personalised manner.
Not only this, but I would also help my students to prepare for the next phase of their academic career, helping with personal statements, extra-curricular activities and any other necessary guidance.
Typical length of a lesson is flexible depending on needs, but a minimum of 1 hour is recommended
I have tutored for four years, working with very young children and also secondary students. I have 9 GCSE's with grades ranging from 4 9's, 3 8's and 2 7's and Ihave also completed my A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics scoring A*,A*,A*,A respectively.
I am able to teach GCSE and A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Business (GCSE only) and Economics to a good standard.
