About Roberta
I have been tutoring English and Maths for over 7 years. My background is in Economics and I enjoy helping students reach their GCSE (National 5 in Scotland) goals in order to get into their desired A Levels (Highers).
I have taught more than 50 students and have achieved positive results form A* in Maths to being accepted at American high schools via the SSAT.

I am a bubbly character, and I believe that in order for students to learn, they need to be inspired and working towards a goal that they are passionate about. I like to get to know my students, know what motivates them and structure my class accordingly. Some people prefer more guidance, while others like to take more responsibility for their learning. Whatever the learning style, I try to keep that in mind when I plan my classes. I mostly teach students between the ages of 13 and 16 for Maths and adult learners for English.

Details
I charge a flat fee of £30 per hour, but I have discounted rates for multiple hour bookings. I charge an extra fee of £3 if the classes are outside of Kinghorn, but there are no additional travel charges if you are based in Kinghorn. I am also flexible and want to accommodate low-income households so please get in touch if this is out of your price range and we can discuss how to make things work for both of us.
