About Jade
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor in my 20s with a strong academic background as an Economics student at Queen’s University, and I genuinely love both math and working with kids. I understand that math can sometimes feel intimidating, which is why I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I am a dedicated Economics student at Queen’s University with a strong foundation in mathematics, and I tutor elementary and middle school students (Grades 1–9) in subjects ranging from basic arithmetic and fractions to pre-algebra and introductory algebra. My teaching approach focuses on building true understanding and confidence by breaking concepts down into clear, simple steps and explaining the “why” behind each solution rather than just memorizing formulas.
