The Communicative Approach has been the most effective method in my classroom the last 15 years for students ranging from 11 to 18 yeas of age. My lessons focus on providing real life scenarios to provoke meaningful communication in the target language. After establishing an authentic environment, in-depth learning becomes the focal point. Simultaneously, opportunities for substantive conversations through peer collabortion and support will also help students grow.
