About Tania

Hello! I'm Tania Pathirage, a dedicated lecturer specializing in Edexcel IGCSE/O Level and International A Level Economics and Business Studies, with over 14 years of teaching experience.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of mentoring students from the UK, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, India, Sri Lanka, and other international schools, helping them build confidence and consistently achieve outstanding academic results. To date, I have successfully guided more than 100 students to A and A grades* in their Edexcel examinations.

What sets me apart is my experience as an Edexcel Examination Paper Marker. Having assessed examination scripts, I understand exactly what examiners look for, how marks are awarded, and the common mistakes that prevent students from achieving top grades. I bring this examiner's perspective into every lesson, ensuring students develop the techniques required to maximize their marks.

I hold an MBA, a Bachelor of Business Management & Marketing (Australia), and I am an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM–UK). My academic background, combined with extensive classroom experience and examiner expertise, enables me to deliver lessons that are engaging, practical, and focused on examination success.

About the lesson

Success in Edexcel examinations is not just about knowing the syllabus,it's about understanding how to apply knowledge in the way examiners expect. As a lecturer with over 14 years of teaching experience and an Edexcel examination paper marker, I combine in-depth subject expertise with insider knowledge of how marks are awarded.

My lessons are tailored for Edexcel IGCSE/O Level and International A Level Economics and Business Studies students. Every lesson is carefully structured to strengthen conceptual understanding, improve analytical and evaluation skills, and develop the exam techniques required to achieve outstanding grades.

Students receive personalised learning plans based on their strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons include detailed explanations, interactive discussions, past paper practice, model answers, examiner-style feedback, revision strategies, and continuous progress tracking.
