About Maryam

Hi! I’m a senior classroom teacher with 4 years of teaching experience, including 2 years of experience as a private tutor.

I’m passionate about helping students become more confident in Maths and showing them that even challenging topics can be understood with the right explanations, practice and support.

I also successfully completed A Level Mathematics with the Edexcel exam board, which encouraged me to think deeply, solve problems creatively and develop strong mathematical reasoning skills.

I have experience working with students of a wide range of abilities and tailoring lessons to their individual needs. In my most recent 2026 GCSE results, my class achieved a +0.81 residual, meaning that, on average, my students achieved above their predicted grades.

In my lessons, we can focus on difficult topics, exam technique, past papers and problem-solving strategies.

I aim to make every lesson clear, engaging and focused, while helping students develop the confidence and skills to tackle unfamiliar questions independently.

About the lesson

I offer supportive and engaging A level lessons designed to help students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and tackle challenging topics with greater ease.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they are looking to strengthen their foundations, prepare for exams, or push themselves towards the highest grades. I focus on explaining difficult concepts clearly and breaking complex problems into manageable steps.

Lessons can include topic by topic learning, exam style questions, past papers, problem solving techniques, and guidance on how to approach unfamiliar questions.

My aim is not just to help students find the right answer, but to develop their mathematical thinking, confidence, and ability to solve problems independently.
