About Emma

I recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh where I achieved a 1st class Honours in French and Spanish (MA). I am passionate about learning modern languages and for me, tutoring is an opportunity to share this enthusiasm for French, Spanish and English langauge. Having lived and worked in Paris and Mexico City for 6 months respectively, I am fluent in both French and Spanish.
I experienced in teaching grammar, improving fluency through oral and written practice, as well as AS and A Level essay writing. Having completed at least 6 one-to-one tutoring exchanges during my time as a student at St Mary's Ascot School, I know what makes pupils tick when it comes to learning languages.
I help to build my students' confidence by providing practice and handy techniques. By approaching learning in an exciting way, whether it is stimulating creativity through learning a song in French or reading a simple poem in Spanish, my students adopt a fresh enthusiasm when it comes to their studies! My aim is to make the session fun and exciting, while tailoring my approach to meet the needs of the individual.
I have a great track record of helping to improve expectant grades, and I can also help with exam techniques and revision methods.
As an incoming Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in September, I am also available to help with cover letters, CV techniques and Maths tutoring, up to GCSE level.
