About Jordan

My name is Jordan Steven Aguirre. I have been producing dance music since 1998. I have over 1100 tracks produced (60 albums, 30 EPs) and have also composed the soundtracks to 12 indie video games (Klang, Klang 2, Tanknarok, Ironlights VR, Ironstrike VR, Zero Point, Somber Echoes and more). For some of them I also did all the sound design and sound effects (Klang, Klang 2, Somber Echoes, Ironlights VR). The reason I got these gigs was because I was known for remixing video game music into dance music and many game developers noticed me. A few reached out and hired me and now it's my full-time job. I have a huge passion for synthesizers. I design patches on synths and even make sample packs and presets for various companies (Audentity, ADSR Sounds, GHST PRJKT, Novation/Ampify Sounds, Impact Soundworks, Soundtrack Loops and more). My studio is my haven and I spend most of my time in there crafting up music recipes...

About the lesson

-My teaching method and lessons are about the psychology of music production and the philosophies required to be successful. Usually the "How do I do this in X DAW" comes last. I teach the methods necessary to develop essential critical listening skills so that the mix and master are easy to achieve. -Typically, a lesson, minimum one hour, is set up into two parts. First we go over my lesson plan, which will be custom tailored to each student, and I answer any questions you may have about the material. Then we go into real world examples and I work in the DAW or you work in your DAW and I guide you. -I am VERY laid back and non-judgmental. Many people trust their art with me for feedback because I don't bark or bite. I only offer constructive feedback when there are issues. -These lessons are for beginners all the way to advanced producers as I also teach Music Marketing and Advanced Sound Design

I've known Jordan for more than 10 years as a friend and mentor. He was introduced to me by another music composer when I was looking for a way to move from orchestral and small ensemble arranging further into electronic production and sound design.

He has taught me so much I'm not sure where to begin, but that's a good problem + not a bad one. While I already had a foundation in music production he helped me to realize some of the skills that are unique to electronic music and even tips and guidance on how to practice effectively, and methods for practical application.

If you're an artist that has an easy time starting projects, but a hard time finishing them Jordan is the right guy to ask for help.
